Can Creativity Stop Shopping?

            Creative is the use of skill and the imagination to produce something new or a work of art. A person who is very creative can create many useful things, for example Steve Jobs. However, a person who is not very creative is hard to create something new.

            “Creativity and originality are more important than technical skill”. I got this sentence from my dictionary and I am very agree with it. A person who masters in technical skill only can only do the same thing everyday. It’s because they are not creative enough to think what to do other than that. Nevertheless, a person who is very creative can create something new and their life will not be so bored.

            Here’s a question. Is creativity related with ‘stop shopping’? YES!

            From what I’ve told you just now, Steve Jobs is a creative man. Now, I would like to talk about him to stop you from shopping by using your own creativity. All of you know I-pod, I-phone and I-pad, right? Do you know who the inventor was? STEVE JOBS! So, what are the prices of those thing invented by him are? Above RM100 or even RM1000! Is it expensive? Yes, it is quite expensive for me as a student now. I bet most of you have it. Before you bought it, you went to shopping centre, shopped for few minutes or hours, saw an Apple Store, went into it and looked the products, bought it after considering about it. Are these actions considered as SHOPPING? Yes!

            How can creativity stop shopping?

• Don’t have enough time to go out - Let me give you an example. Thomas Edison was a person who created bulb successfully. Before he created it successfully, he spent most of his time to try, try and try to make the bulb light up until he neglected his wife. If there was many shopping malls that time, do you think will Thomas Edison go for shopping since he haven’t create the bulb successfully?

• They have it - Now, I would talk about Steve Jobs. Since Steve Jobs created many things which cost a king’s ransom, do you think Steve Jobs will go to the store and spend his money to buy his own product?
